Poesis
Poesis” is a new body of work inspired by the rhythms and colors of Los Angeles. Following an extensive research process using aluminum wire to explore form, I arrived at these semi-enclosed shapes, suggesting volume through negative space rather than explicating it. The colors draw from the Southern California urban landscape and the legacy of the finish fetish movement. Ultimately, Poesis emerges from the osmosis between the natural world and the built environment that defines the city.
